Handwork and Artisans

In our previous post we showed different steps of garment making. As you could see not all the work done there can be done by machines. A lot of the steps in between are hand work, done by experienced artisans.

Stitching the garment may be the most obvious one but even there a very specialized training is needed to achieve the quality and finish we are looking for.

Next to that there is also a tremendous amount of work that goes into embellishing the garment.

This is very intensive work needing a lot of preparation and accuracy. We saw work being done on our garments and we were very impressed with the kind of consistency and efficiency the artisans showed. All the material used here for printing is organic and complies to the highest safety and health standards applicable to baby clothing.

Two short videos here below you can see how our prints for Hedgehog on the moon, and Rabbit on the moon are being applied on on cloth before stitching.

Not to forget, all the material used here for printing is organic and complies to the highest safety and health standards applicable to baby clothing.
